| | Heat exchangers can be designed and manufactured in accordance with all common international standards such as PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), ASME, TEMA, API etc. Our design staff are conversant with single phase, condensation, vaporization, feed effluent trains, thermosyphon, falling film, and knockback/reflux thermal design principles. State-of-the-art software is utilised in order to identify the optimum heat exchanger configuration that not only satisfies the specified heat duty, allowable pressure drop, and maximum velocity etc., but also maximises design accuracy and efficiency. |

Repair & Refurbishment If an existing heat exchanger can be removed from the vessel or site, Britannia Heatex can carry out comprehensive in-house testing and analysis in order to identify the point of failure. Where possible, the unit can then be repaired or refurbished to your requirements for prompt return to service. Where such a unit has a short life expectancy, a full survey can be carried out prior to despatch and a quotation provided for replacements as necessary. On-Site Services Where it is impractical, due to size or time constraints, to remove an existing heat exchanger from the vessel or site, Britannia Heatex provides comprehensive on-site services. Our own highly skilled, fully equipped fitters are available to travel any where in the world, usually at short notice, to undertake all types of re-tubing operations, repair and installation services. Facilities Britannia Heatex, as part of the ACT Group, has many facilities at it’s disposal: Modern manufacturing premises (amounting to around 28,000 ft2 of workshop space and 10,000 ft2 of office space) houses our 50 or so employees
| Comprehensive stores of tubes (including copper-alloys, stainless steels and titanium), flanges and fittings, and also non-standard components such as tube plugs, tube inserts, condenser ferrules and packing rings etc., allow us to meet short lead-time delivery requirements. |
Products and components can be designed and manufactured using industry standard CAD and CAD/CAM systems and CNC machinery. Aspen Engineering Suite compliments our many other thermal and mechanical design utilities for accurate and efficient designs. Three dimensional modelling, FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) can also be employed during the development process.
Our own in-house Toolroom and Development department caters for new developments, prototyping and bespoke tool making. |
Our tube manipulation department is able to form u-tubes, serpentine and spiral coils etc. using in-house knowledge and expertise.
| |
| Our fabrication workshop is fully equipped with a full range of both conventional and CNC machinery, from turning and boring to milling and drilling, welding equipment, and both mechanical and electronic fitting equipment. |
